Premarital counseling can also help identity concerns and provide an opportunity to address those concerns and improve your relationship before marriage. The therapists at MN Counseling and Couples Center are trained providers of PREPARE/ENRICH, by Life Innovations. PREPARE/ENRICH is a comprehensive assessment tool used in pre-marital therapy, designed to look at key areas of a relationship; and identify the strengths as well as growth areas of the relationship.
The areas addressed in the assessment are:
To get started just contact our office and we will gather your intake information and schedule you for an initial session with your therapist. During the initial session, your therapist will talk with you about your relationship history and assess any concerns you might have. Following the initial session, If you chose to use the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment, each partner will be sent an e-mail link which they will use to complete the PREPARE/ENRICH Assessment. Once the assessments are completed, your therapist will receive a comprehensive analysis of your relationship including an individualized couple's workbook. A feedback session with your therapist will then be scheduled to review the results.
During the feedback session, the couple will be presented with the results of the assessment along with the analysis; which is a report highlighting both the strength and growth area of the relationship. The primary focus of the feedback session is to discuss the results and begin to address/work through any growth areas identified. Additionally, the couple will receive their individualized workbook which can be used as a future resource and guide for continuing to strengthen their relationship. Following the feedback session, some couples may decide to continue with on-going therapy, depending upon their concerns and relationship goals.
Most Pre-marital couples use the PREPARE/ENRICH assessment, however it is not mandatory. You can talk to your therapist during the initial session about how to make a determination if the assessment is right for you.
