MNCCC is open and accepting new clients.  We are still seeing clients in-office; however in light of the COVID-19 situation we also offer online video/tele-therapy sessions.  We have a HIPAA compliant tele-therapy platform in place and have been offering online therapy as part of our regular practice for over a year. We will help guide you through the process and assist you in getting set up for online sessions.

The consultation session is a time set aside for couples or individuals to speak with one of our experienced therapist either in-office, via phone or through our online web based link, prior to entering into a therapy agreement. The consultation provides an opportunity to ask questions about therapy,  glean an understanding of the therapists skills and experience, and/or seek resources. It is also beneficial in discerning the therapy-client fit, should you decided to continue on-going therapy. For some people psychotherapy can feel intimidating and the consultation session can help mitigate those fears.  Additionally consultations help clients better understand what to expect in counseling and the duration of treatment, given their unique situation. Consultation sessions are not therapy, therefore we do not complete a therapeutic assessment, provide psychotherapy, or offer specific therapeutic skills or recommendations.

Consultations can provide:

  •   Clarity and confident whether to pursue ongoing therapy; and what to expect
  •   Information about the services we provide
  •   Insight regarding therapists' background and experience
  •   Trust in the therapists' skills and expertise
  •   Knowledge about the process/skills of therapy and how it could help
  •   Additional Resources and Referrals
