Calli Simpson

MS, LMFT

Hi, I’m Calli and am so glad you’re here. I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist with a Bachelor of Science Degree from North Dakota State University and a Master of Science Degree in Couples and Family Therapy from Kansas State University. I specialize in working with couples/romantic relationships and adult individuals. As your therapist, I will be curious, intentional, and compassionate in learning about who you are, what you are experiencing, and your hopes of where you want to go, while also being direct and challenging you when needed to help you successfully reach your goals. If you are open to identifying and exploring the root of what is causing you distress and are ready for active change in your life, then we’d be a great fit in working together and I’d be honored to walk alongside you on your journey of change.

More About Calli

In my work with couples/romantic relationships, I specialize in conflict resolution, connection and intimacy building, navigating different values and wants, and betrayal repair. I work to connect how a person’s past experiences and current beliefs are playing a role in their ability to communicate and be mentally, physically, and emotionally present with their partner. All relationships face challenges at some point, so understanding yourself and your partner allows everyone to consistently feel secure and valued in the relationship. I am a Gottman Level 2 trained therapist and combine a variety of Emotion Focused Therapy and Attachment Theory interventions to help you feel more connected to your partner and for your relationship to be filled with effective communication, appreciation, and laughter.

In my work with individuals, I specialize in helping people navigate trauma, anxiety, low self-confidence, hurtful family/relational experiences, and feelings of dissatisfaction or confusion in life. I will encourage you to explore how past experiences are impacting your current behaviors, emotions, and views of self and others. We will identify what your wants and goals are in life and work together to decrease your levels of distress and get you living the life you truly want to live. I am an Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) trained therapist and am happy to discuss if this therapy model will be helpful for you and your goals.

Starting therapy can be a daunting process. It is important you feel comfortable with your therapist and believe they are a good fit for you on your therapy journey.
