There are two ways to join the video session. One method is through your personal computer and the second method is through your mobile device.
If connecting via your personal computer once you schedule your online therapy session, you will receive an email that will contain a join button and a 4-digit room PIN that you will use to log in from your personal computer. If you do not get the e-mail, please check your spam file.
At the time of your appointment simply click the join button, found on the email sent to you. A new window will pop up where you will be able to enter your room PIN to joint the session. Once both you and your therapist are logged in, you can begin your online therapy session.
When using your PC for online therapy, the 4-digit room PIN is unique to each session and date of service, therefore every subsequent online therapy session will have it’s own unique room PIN.
You may have to enable pop-ups in your browser settings. If you do not know how to enable popups, you might do a search on "how do I enable my popups with (example) Chrome, Firefox, IE, Safari. This will walk you through the process of enabling popups for the video session. Make sure you “allow” your microphone and camera to be enabled. Once that is successful, you should not have the to complete the process over each time to join a session unless you are using a new computer. Our preferred browser is Chrome, but feel free to use any browser that is available.
The second way to connect to an online therapy session is through a mobile app call MyTherapist (all one word). MyTherapist is a free app that you can download on your mobile device via the App Store or Android Market. Once you have downloaded the app, you will need to enter three key pieces of information:
1. Last name
2. Date of Birth
3. Client PIN (last 4 digits of their client ID)
The 4-digit PIN will be provided to you by MNCCC via an e-mail invitation (which is different from the room PIN). Once you enter your last name, DOB and 4-digit client PIN you will be able to access information on the MyTherapist App. This is the same information used to log into your client portal.
If you are having trouble getting connected, here are some key things you may need to adjust:
• Make sure your sound is turned up
• Make sure you “allow” for the microphone and camera to be enabled
Once you have successfully logged into the app, you will see a list of your upcoming appointments. Click the appointment date for the online session and an appointment information page will appear. At the bottom of this page you will see a video button that you must click to join your online therapy session.
Through the app you will also be able to:
1. View upcoming appointments (the scheduling of appointments is done through the client portal)
2. Communicate with your therapist securely through TSecureMsg
3. Make a payment
4. View past appointments and past payments
5. Access the phone number and directions to our office.
6. View documents that have been uploaded by your therapist
